The Rift Valley Marathon scheduled for March 14, 2015 may be the toughest race you will ever run!
This run will take you through the dirt roads and trails surrounding the town of Mosoriot, Kenya. At the 12 km point of the 21 km loop there is a 3km climb that covers 450ft of elevation.
The rolling route includes spectacular vistas at 7400ft elevation.These roads have been the training grounds for some of Kenya’s most accomplished distance runners such Lel, Cheryiout, Rotich, Kirui, Korir, Biwott, and, Kiprop.
The race takes place on a 21.1km cross country circuit that starts and finishes at a local elementary school.
Marathon = 2 laps
Half Marathon = 1 lap
Four Person Relay = 2 laps (each person runs 10.55km)
Join us in the TIKI BAR for a unique pre-race pasta party and a post race reception where you will experience traditional dancing and singing from the Nandi tribe. In addition to pasta you will have a chance to try traditional ugali made from ground corn maize. Ugali is the main staple of the Kenyan diet.

All races start at Sokkin Academy in the village of Tebeson which is located 3km from Mosoriot.
Mosoriot is 15km west of the Eldoret International Airport on the Eldoret-Kapsabet highway.
